WHEREAS automotive enthusiasts are celebrating the month of July as “Automotive Heritage Month” across Canada;

WHEREAS Alberta’s rich automotive heritage has broad appeal to classic car hobbyists and the public through car shows, cruise nights or afternoon drives;

WHEREAS automobile clubs enrich Alberta communities by serving as active participants in local festivals, parades, and celebrations;

WHEREAS the collector car community contributes to Alberta’s economic and social wellbeing by hosting events and car shows that raise funds for local charities and engage our communities;

WHEREAS we wish to celebrate your passion for driving, restoring, preserving and collecting an important part of Canada’s history;

WHEREAS we wish to recognize the vibrant car collection community in Alberta by observing July 9th, 2021 as Collector Car Appreciation Day;

NOW THEREFORE BE IT KNOWN THAT I, NATE GLUBISH, MINISTER OF SERVICE ALBERTA, DO HEREBY DECLARE JULY 9, 2021, COLLECTOR CAR APPRECIATION DAY IN THE PROVINCE OF ALBERTA AND DO COMMAND ITS THROUGHTFUL OBSERVANCE TO ALL CITIZENS OF OUR PROVINCE.
